AutoCAD Instructor
The essential criteria for employment as an Engineering Diploma Instructor at ACK are as follows:
• Formal qualifications in degree level, with an area of specialisation (mentioned above).

Engineering Instructor

Civil Lab Technician
Applications are invited from engineering professionals to join our expanding Engineering programs as a Lab Technician, commencing as soon as possible.

Main responsibilities:
• Carries out minor repairs and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure proper and safe operational condition.
• Fabricate equipment and teaching aids where appropriate with the assistance of instructors.
• Purchases and installs equipment as required and as per the approval of the Head of Department.
Registers, tracks, and maintains an inventory list of all ACK lab equipment and tools.
• Ensures proper storage of equipment and tools adhering to safety and security rules and regulations.
• Must relate effectively with instructors, students and administrative staff.
• Follow the ACK Occupational Health and Safety policy.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the head of Engineering.

Requirements:
Diploma in relevant field (civil engineering).
• Minimum five years experience in civil engineering testing labs (structures lab, soil lab, asphalt lab and environmental lab).
• Knowledge in operating different testing equipments that are used in civil engineering labs.
• Record of successful training on safety courses on handling heavy items, handling hazardous chemicals, and operating equipment.
• Previous experience in using independently the different materials testing standards (like the ASTM and EN) and has the ability to read them and apply them in all lab experiments.
• English speaking and writing proficiency.
• High level of proficiency on the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:
• ACI Laboratory Technician Certificate.
• ACI Field Technician Certificate.
