Definition of the Role * Plan, coordinate and supervise the 3 shift operation activities of blending and packaging section. * Maintain highest standard of safety, quality, customer service and environmental control in respective department ensuring compliance with Abbott policies and procedures. * Drive lean/sigma continuous improvement initiatives in the department. * Set aggressive goals and targets for the department and utilize KPIs to monitor and improve performance. * Instill Abbott culture into the organization. * Partner HR in Employee Relations strategies and ensuring harmonious Industrial Relations all through out. * Participate in cross functional projects. * Assist in developing safety/quality/velocity metrics. * Ensure that the financial and budgetary targets of area of responsibility are met. * Direct the efforts of down the team in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group * Take Responsibility for career development /planning and performance discussions of the team members. * Ensures the effective management of activities in area of responsibility * Reports and presents activities, issues and recommendations to manager or head of department. * Ensure appropriate controls are in place for effective operations within area of responsibility. * Resolve quality issues, ensure correction action plans are initiated and monitored. * Track and assist department in achieving company"s KPIs. * Manage line or production scheduling and plan work force utilization to ensure efficient use of company resources and timely delivery to customers. * Initiate projects to improve the quality, efficiency and safety, efficiency and safety of the lines and departments. * Responsible for maintaining sound EHS working conditions. Education * Bachelor Degree in Dairy Technology/Dairy Engineering/Mechanical/ Process Engineering /Food Science/Instrumentation or in related discipline or Diploma with minimum 3 to 6 years experience And 3 years in management situation. * Need to have good people management skills.
