Client: Dover http://www.doverindia.co.in/Home.aspx http://www.ipfonline.com/IPFCONTENT/articles/dover-india-settling-in-for-a-long-innings.php Location: Chennai, India JOB DESCRIPTION Name of the position: Finance Executive - Commercial and Taxes / Sr. Finance Executive - Commercial and Taxes Growth Potential: Assistant Manager / Manager - Commercial and Taxes Qualification: B Com / M Com with additional qualification of MBA - Finance, PGDFM, ICWA, CA Inter, with good academic track record Experience: 2 to 5 years of extensive experience in commercial and taxes role in Manufacturing Industry required. Having worked in a multi-national company preferable. Job Profile: Independently able to handle all job responsibilities in areas of Commercial and tax compliances of a manufacturing industry, but not limited to areas mentioned below. Excise: Handling of all matters relating to Excise including preparation of returns, maintenance of Excise records in the manufacturing and trading environment - Dealer License. Reconciliation of Excise records and local books, availment of Cenvat credit, issue of DC, expunge of excise duty, interacting with the excise department and excise consultant. Handling of Excise audits: Internal, Statutory, CERA and Excise departmental audit, and if required Excise hearings. Sales Tax: Ensure Sales Tax TDS compliance, payment of TDS and filing of returns VAT credit Sales tax payment returns Sales Tax Audit Knowledge of E1 sales, High Seas sales preferable TDS: Ensure TDS compliance, payment of TDS and filing of returns Issue of Form 16 and for 16A Salary TDS computation Service Tax: Ensure Service tax compliance, payment of Service tax and filing of returns Correct availment of Service Tax Credit FEMA: FIRC Ratification of foreign remittance Liaison with Bank Audit: Ensure Audit compliance on all legal requirements. Audits include Internal audit, Statutory audit, departmental audits and corporate audit. Knowledge: Good working knowledge of Excise, Service Tax, Sales Taxes (local and interstate) Knowledge of FEMA, will be an added advantage Update on all notifications, amendments, budget highlights as applicable to the industry. Skills: On the job experience essential Excellent Communication Able to interface with government department personnel and get things done Excellent Accounting Background Good Financial Analytical skills Good Knowledge in Microsoft Office and ERP Good team player Dynamic and willingness to stretch Goal and result oriented Aptitude to learn Date of joining:Immediate Candidate Preferred: Male CTC: Around 2.5 - 3.5 lakhs per annum, depending on last drawn salary and experience. However, remuneration will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
