Scope of Work	Job purpose & Scope:Operate and monitor the power generating plant and utilities in Central complex in accordance with standard operating procedures and direct instructions to ensure that production targets are met and that plant and utilities are operating efficiently, safely and economically.Principal Accountabilities:Issue work permits already approved by the supervisor, after making sure that all safety precautions prescribed in the permit (including gas tests) are fulfilled and closely follow the job; and check the equipment for correct operation when maintenance work is completed.Give work instructions to shift Utilities Operators in the operation of assigned units in accordance with established programs and direct instructions.Monitor and adjust operating parameters of all utility equipment.Shut down and start up utilities plants locally on a planned basis or during an emergency under instructions.Make frequent checks and verify correct running of equipment; report any discrepancy to his supervisor.Perform routine run tests of fire pumps, emergency diesel generator, etc.Prepare the plant or sections of the plant for modifications or maintenance and recommission the plant after modification is completed.Prepare and handover vessels for inspection as per programme.Regularly collect process data, analyze this and take appropriate action in case of abnormality.Coordinate with FCC Senior Operator to carry out production programmes like starting additional turbo generators, winning pumps, etc.Coordinate with Safety and FCC departments for periodic checking of fire and gas system, and monitors fire main ring pressure and the fire system.Initiate and lead fire fighting or other emergency actions in his area until it is taken over by a higher authority.Ensure the emergency supply of cooling water to the power turbines in case of plant upset.Be ultimately responsible for good housekeeping within his plant.Monitors and controls all activities within his area of responsibility are conforming to "HSE standards and guidelines" set by the company.Guide and develop U.A.E. National Developees to achieve their target position set by hierarchy.
Minimum Requirements	Minimum Requirements:Completion of Secondary technical education (12 years), plus advanced vocational qualification.5 years experience in oilfield/refinery utilities operations on power plant, including at ;east 2 years as Utilities Operator.Good knowledge of English.
