Excellent Job opening for Network L1 Support Engineer with one of our
CMMI level 3 client.
Job Location: Mumbai & Chennai

Joining Period:15 Days

Network L1 Support Engineer
Job Responsibility:
. Install, configure, and maintain network and security
equipment and services.
. Perform troubleshooting analysis of
LAN/WAN/ISDN/MPLS/firewall/VPN issues.
. Document network problems and resolution for future
reference.
. Proactively monitors and ensures network availability,
performance and network security.
. Log, track and take ownership of network/connectivity issues
and resolve issues to the satisfaction of all stake holders.
. Independently engage with customers to setup network
connectivity.
. This role requires one to be comfortable interfacing with
customers, service providers and vendor support engineers.

Education and experience:
. Bachelor‟s degree in engineering with suitable qualifications
in IT or related fields.
. Preferably with 1 -2 years of relevant working experience in
helpdesk operations of a reputed organization

4.Technical Skills and Requirements
. A thorough understanding of the OSI network model,
Ethernet, NAT, IP addressing and TCP/IP Network.
. A practical level of experience implementing and
administrating TCP/IP-based network.
. 1 -2 years hands on experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco
Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS,
QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN and MPLS.
. Working knowledge of common network monitoring tools and
network analyzers.
. Troubleshooting focused on determining network vs
Application/System issues and patterned vs. non-repeating
problems.
. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
. Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry
knowledge
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
. Bachelor‟s degree (preferably IT engineering related)
. CCNA or CCNP, CCSA, CCSE strongly preferred.
. Ability and willingness to work in shifts including on
weekends and holidays.
. Willingness to travel to customer sites for site preparation,
installation, repairs etc.
