Full/Associate/Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Lab Administrators
The College of Engineering (COE) at King Faisal University (KFU) in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia invites applications for full-time faculty position at the rank of Full/Associate/Assistant Professors, Lecturer (MSc. Holder) and lab administrators (MSc. Holder) in the areas of:
Chemical Engineering
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Materials Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Bio-Medical Engineering
Water Desalination Engineering
The COE was formed in 2007 and is currently home to faculty and staff of 30 members and a student population of over 400. The COE is growing rapidly and expected to serve more than 50 faculty members and student population of more than 700 within the next couple of years. The COE is proud to be the first in the Middle East to deploy Project-Based Interdisciplinary Curriculum approach to all of its undergraduate programs.
Successful faculty applicants who join the COE are expected to develop and maintain a productive program of research and to contribute to a stimulating learning environment for students. Applicants at the faculty levels are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree with a strong commitment to research and teaching as well as serving the university.
Applicants are also expected to have superior ability to teach in English (as the language of instruction at KFU is English).
KFU was established in 1975 in Al – Hassa, the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The campus is fairly close to two other modern cities: Al-Khobar and Dhahran. The university is about 100 miles from King Fahd International Airport, a short drive away from the Kingdom of Bahrain which is 35 km from Saudi Arabia's eastern coast and linked to it by the King Fahd Causeway. The climate during most of the academic year is quite pleasant with temperatures ranging from briskly cool to comfortably warm. Both Al -Hassa and Al – Khobar share a hot climate during June to September.
