Section Head / Supervisor
The main responsibility of the Section Head / Supervisor is to assist the Sales Manager in ensuring that the sales staff perform to their best ability and to act as deputy for the Sales Manager, in charge of the sales floor in his / her absence.
Key Accountabilities:
Following company and departmental benchmarks
Following all reasonable instructions as requested by the management
Being aware of all in-store promotions, such as credit facilities, activities etc.
Keeping all company information, including sales figures, strictly confidential
Ensuring he / she follows all company rules and regulations
Following all company safety and security procedures
Representing the company in the best way possible at all times, whether on or off duty
Following guidelines as established in the Sales Floor Manual
Having an excellent and up to date knowledge of all products
Ensuring all areas of the showroom are kept clean and tidy
Preparing cleaning rotas for cleaning staff in cooperation with the Admin manager
Ensuring sales staff and shelf fillers are following replenishment procedures
Doing regular spot checks on pricing and signage
Assisting customers with sales
Ensuring all displays are as instructed by the Visual Merchandisers
Monitoring sales staff's daily and weekly checklists
Checking the Clearance area daily
Doing regular and hands on training of the sales staff
Summarising monthly Purchasing feedback form for the team
Summarising display damages for Sales Manager
Doing regular stock checks and liaising with stock control
Preparing sales staff schedules to ensure correct shop floor coverage
Holding a 5 minute briefing at the start of each shift with the sales staff
Being constantly aware of customers and their needs
Ensuring that all customers, irrespective of colour, creed or sex are treated equally
To liaise with the Customer Service Department on a daily basis with regards to deliveries, assemblies, exchanges, refunds etc.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
Five years retail sales experience
Two years senior sales or supervisory experience
Good written and spoken English
Computer literate
Excellent people skills
Spoken Arabic, desirable
