Find the JD Below Position : Network Engineer Job Description: TSE L2 will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting complex issues around a reputed Virtual infrastructure management solution with an international customer base. Location:Chennai Interview Date:30th June, 2012 Job Responsibilities: · Provide remote Technical support on implementation of virtualization based products and resolve product related issues through research and troubleshooting. · Troubleshoot every case (including backlog) assigned and drive towards positive resolution thereby to achieve customer satisfaction. · Assist/guide other Technical Support Engineers in troubleshooting the issues effectively. · Serve as an escalation point of L1 Engineers · Evaluate the scope for timely escalation and ensure that customer problems are addressed as per the priority. · Co-ordinate with the L3 Engineers and/or Engineering team to get the bugs fixed. · Debugging hardware & software system level problems in a multi-vendor multi-protocol network environment. · Interface with international customers. · Document all communication with the customer. Profile: Primary Skills: · Expert level experience on any flavor of Linux and Basic familiarity with Windows · Intermediate level knowledge of Virtualization Concepts · Basic familiarity with enterprises products of VMware or any other hypervisors. · Sound knowledge and troubleshooting skills on common enterprise server/client technologies using process/networking/resource troubleshooting tools such as ps, top, free, nmap, traceroute, tcpdump etc. · Intermediate level Familiarity with Networking concepts Essentials: · 2 to 5 years of experience in support or administration in an enterprise setup. · Should have experience in configuration and troubleshooting networks comprising heterogeneous systems such as Linux, Windows etc. · The ideal candidate will be an Engineer, who is a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. · Quality focus, result & goal orientation in a group situation and commitment to customer delight are a must. · Sound fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of Operating systems with exposure to Virtualization · Should be flexible to work in international time zones.
